Datalynx offers a flexible licensing model for the Data Xplorer and Data Xchange systems including licence purchase and leasing options. Our CPU / CPU core based licensing allows companies to manage licence costs according to their needs.
1. Licence Purchase Data Xplorer and Data Xchange are bundled as an integrated Data Management Suite that addresses end-to-end data management business requirements. Our entry-level licence provides for utilisation of up to 2 single core CPUs (or a single CPU with 2 cores) on an application server and five user / desktop installations.
Datalynx technology can scale up to run on as many as 32 CPUs / cores, with a reducing scale of fees per CPU.Licence purchase is necessary where Datalynx software will be used by a company's own teams or is implemented to perform ongoing operations such as continuous monitoring, integration and scheduled updates. 2. Software Leasing Software leasing is a cost-effective option on projects utilising Datalynx resources, where the client does not have an ongoing need to use the Datalynx technology beyond the life of the project. Examples of when leasing may be appropriate include data cleansing and data migration projects.

Datalynx data management software is implemented on a physical or virtual application server and configured to utilise a specific number of CPUs or cores. The application server can access and process data stored on any database and file servers for which it had privileges. The number of CPUs and application servers required depends on a a range of factors, including the size of the dataset being processed, the timeframe within which processing must be completed and the number of parallel activities required. Our consultants can advised on the optimum configuration to address each client's needs. In environments where the Datalynx technology needs to be deployed across multiple servers or is to be used across organisational divisions and business areas, an enterprise licence can be a cost-effective option.
